No doubt you’ve
already heard about this. It’s a report about US President Barack Obama. It’s
about non-violent criminals going to jail.
Is Obama
going to jail after he leaves office?
On Thursday,
June 18, 2015, Obama went to a small fundraising event. He spoke there. He said,
“We should be reforming our criminal justice system in such a way that we are
not incarcerating nonviolent offenders in ways that renders them incapable of
getting a job after they leave office” (Matt Wilstein, “Obama Makes Awkward
‘Freudian Slip’ at Tyler Perry’s House”, mediaite, June 19, 2015).
As soon as
said this, his audience burst into laughter (ibid). Obama then said, “Little
slip of the tongue there. Little Freudian slip.” He added, “[actor/director Tyler
[Perry, host of the fundraiser] is going to give me a job once I leave [office].”
Yeah, right.
Freudian slips are suggestive, are they not? I wonder why President Obama thinks he's going to jail?
