If Hanin Zoabi can speak this way, so can I

Haneen (or, Hanin) Zoabi is an Arab-Israeli. She's a Muslim. Despite the fact that she lives in a Jewish country, she's entitled to vote as an equal in national Israeli elections. Israel's human rights give her that privilege. No Jew in any Arab country has the same right.

As a beneficiary of such an Israeli right, Zoabi has a greater opportunity than a single vote: she can run, as an Arab, for a seat in Israel's national parliament, the Knesset. No Jew in any Arab country has this same right.

Haneen Zoabi is more than a Member of the Knesset (MK). She's also a legitimate anti-Semite (here). She's also, by definition, a racist (here).

In Dallas, Texas, last year, she said that Jews have no right to self-determination. This is pure anti-Semitism (here). That means it's also racist (here).

Racism dictates that one group is superior to another (here). Racism means the superior group has rights not allowed to the inferior group.

That's why Zoabi say Palestinians have the right to self-determination, but not Jews (here). Palestinians are superior to Jews. They have rights not allowed to Jews. That's as good a definition of racism as you'll get.

Her reasoning is outrageous: since Jews are not a nationality, you cannot talk of self-determination for the Jewish people (ibid). She suggests that Palestinians, on the other hand, have the right of self-determination because they are a people. They are a 'nationality'.

This is nonsense. The reverse is true. If you know anything about what makes a group of individuals a people, and what makes people a nation, you'll understand that Palestinians are not a people. They're not a nation. Jews are (see below).

On other occasions, Zoabi has said:

-Zionism--and 'Israel'--should 'leave the area' (i.e., the Middle East) (here).

-She has called for the Jewish Israel to be dissolved. It should be replaced by either a Palestinian state and a secular state--or a single binational secular state (here).

-Israel, she has said more than once, is a fascist state (ibid).

I find her remarks offensive. But she lives in a free country--Israel. She has the right of free speech. Let her talk.

But if she has the right of free speech, so do I. Here's what I've got to say to her.

Do you say there's such a thing as a 'Palestinian' nation? Do you believe that Palestinians are the indigenous people of this area, not Jews?

Tell me, what are the names of the ancient Palestinian Kings? What are the names of ancient Palestinian cities? Where are the archaeological discoveries that validate an ancient Palestinian existence in Israel?

What was the denomination of the ancient Palestinian currency? When did famous ancient Palestinian battles and conquests take place? Who led those ancient Palestinian armies?

There are no answers to these questions. Those answers don't exist. There was no ancient Palestinian people, nation, currency or history.

What is the national Palestinian-specific language? What are the borders of your Palestine?

There are no answers to these questions, either. There is no Palestinian language. There are no ancient or modern (pre-20th century) Palestinian borders.

There was, however, an ancient Jewish people and an ancient Jewish nation with a Jewish-specific language, currency, history and defined borders. There are literally thousands of archaeological finds at the Israel Museum to validate the when, where, who and what of ancient Jewish Kings, wars, triumphs, defeats--and the nitty-gritty details of daily Jewish life in Israel.

Through their language, history, currency and borders, the Jews of Israel have the right to call themselves a 'people'. They have the right to say they have a Jewish State. They have the right to call themselves 'the Jewish nation'. You don't.

In fact, I've got a greater right--because of the real history of Jews on this land--to tell you to get out of 'the area'. I've got a greater right--because of real Jewish archaeological finds--to tell you that your history is nothing but fluff and fakery--and you have no claim to anything here.

You are the ones who should get out of this place, not me or my people.

You are the usurpers, not us. You are the ones thieving our land and heritage, not us you.

Remember, I've got the same freedom of speech as you. I have the same right to tell you what I think of you as you have to tell me what you think of me.

Your people are not a people. They aren't a nation. They have no ancient history here. They have no claims here.

It's the Palestinian Authority that should be dissolved, not Israel. It's the Palestinian Authority that's fascist , not Israel.

Hanin Zoabi, get out of my land. You don't belong here.

Just remember, I can say this because I've got the same freedom of speech as you. I, too, live in a free country--the Jewish Israel, the only free country in the Middle East.
