Terror against Israel: July 20-26, 2016

Here’s a terror report for a quiet week in Israel. This report comes from The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center. I’ve edited the report and have rewritten portions to fit my format  (I've also added a short video for you):

“This past week the throwing of stones and Molotov cocktails and shootings at passing Israeli cars has continued. The good news is, no serious terrorist attacks were carried out.

This summer, Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip are using summer vacation to exploit children. They are giving 30,000 children and adolescents military training as 'summer camp'.

Here’s a video about 'summer camp by Hamas', 2016. It was posted on youtube July 21, 2016. It runs 1:24 minutes:

The goal of this military training, as you've just heard in the video, is to ‘prepare’ the younger generation for ‘the future campaign’ against Israel (so much for teaching the young about ‘living-side-by-side-in-peace with Israel’). This military training is serious. This video shows children being prepared to take a direct part in armed hostilities. This training includes firing live ammunition, simulating the storming of an IDF post, attacking an Israeli APC [Armoured Personnel Carrier], abducting an Israeli soldier and taking him to the Gaza Strip through a tunnel.

According to Article 8(2)(b)(xxvi) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), "Conscripting or enlisting children under the age of fifteen years into the national armed forces or using them to participate actively in hostilities" is a war crime. These summer-camp children are being trained like uniformed recruits to a military combat unit. They appear to be training as soldiers.

Are the adults training these children committing a war crime? Some would say, yes.

Regarding the behaviour of more civilized Palestinian Authority adults this past week, Riyad al-Maliki, foreign minister in the Palestinian national consensus government, gave a speech at the Arab summit held in Mauritania (replacing Mahmoud Abbas, who cancelled his appearance because of his brother's death). Al-Maliki said the Palestinian Authority (PA) intended to sue Britain for having issued the Balfour Declaration [99 years ago] (so much for ‘peace-with-Israel; these  people would rather talk about suing Britain than talk ‘peace’). Al-Maliki demanded the support of the Arab states attending the summit. His demand appears to have fallen "on deaf ears", as Arab attendees were less than enthusiastic about suing Britain on behalf of the 'Palestinians' (Lawrence Franklin, “What the Arab League Meeting Reveals”, gatestoneinstitute, August 1, 2016).

Outside the summer camps, demonstrations, protest marches, riots, and the throwing of stones, Molotov cocktails and pipe bombs continue in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.

The more prominent events for this week were the following:

July 26, 2016 – Rioting Palestinians threw Molotov cocktails and stones at an IDF force operating in the Amari refugee camp (near Ramallah). The soldiers fired at the rioters, wounding two (Facebook page of Red Alert, July 26, 2016).

July 23, 2016 – Palestinians threw two pipe bombs at an IDF post near Beit El. There were no casualties (Facebook page of Red Alert, July 23, 2016).

July 21, 2016 – Palestinians fired at an Israeli vehicle near Beit Sahour (east of Bethlehem) in a drive-by shooting. There were no casualties but a bullet was found in the vehicle (Facebook page of Red Alert, July 21, 2016).

July 21, 2016 – Palestinians threw stones at Israeli vehicles from a passing car on the Tekoa-Har Homa road. There were no casualties; the vehicles were damaged (Facebook page of Red Alert, July 21, 2016).

The Palestinian media claimed that a Palestinian boy from al-Ram was killed in a confrontation with IDF forces (Wafa, July 20, 2016). The IDF spokesman reported that the incident was unknown to the IDF. According to the spokesman, at the time of the alleged incident no IDF activity was carried out in al-Ram, and his death apparently occurred during a local dispute”.

My comment:

Terror is a major business for the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas. Terror is probably the major business for these people.

The PA and Hamas are serious about killing Jews. They work hard at it.

They exploit children to kill Jews. They stone Israeli cars to kill Jews. They throw Molotov cocktails to kill Jews. They make pipe bombs to kill Jews.

When they're not trying to kill Jews, they plant stories that the IDF--that is, Jews--killed another 'Palestinian boy'.

Please remember, people in the Palestinian Authority don't do these things all the time. Apparently, they just do them during a quiet week.
