America joins the war against Israel

America joins the Arab war against Israel. This war has been churning through a deadly and dangerous cycle of death for 66 years. It is virtually all one-sided.

Now, America joins that side.

We know this war is one-sided because if the Arab put down his guns and bombs, there’d be peace tomorrow. But he won’t do that. He is too committed to Jew-hate.

We know about that commitment because it’s been built into the two Arab political documents that articulate the ideology of those who surround Israel.

It’s an ideology based upon Jew-hate. Read the Hamas and PLO/Fatah Charters. It’s all there.

The world says it loves peace. But instead of confronting the Arab’s hate-speech, hateful education curricula, hate-soaked religious sermons and his glorification of Jew-killing, the world demonizes Israel.

This is not rocket science. If you love peace, you don’t support racism, genocide and Jew-hate—unless, of course, you hate Jews yourself.

That might be the source of Israel’s demonization. Certainly, the Arab knows his game-plan to destroy Israel goes nowhere unless others tolerate the hate.

Well, guess what: the world tolerates the hate. It supports the hate.

The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr is reported to have said, ‘don’t be fooled by anti-Zionism. It’s the same as anti-Semitism. It is anti-Semitism’.

The Arab understands this. He knows that if he replaces truth with lies about Israel, the world will listen.

For example, the world doesn’t care there is no evidence that ‘Palestine’ ever existed. The Arab feels free to scream that the land of Israel is Arab land.

The world listens. It becomes angry that Jews should live on ‘Arab land’.

The world doesn’t know—or care—about how Arabs define ‘Israeli occupation’ (they define it as Israeli presence anywhere is Israel). Therefore, the Arab is free to scream that Israel is an ‘occupier’.

The world listens. It is shocked that Israel continues to ‘occupy’ what belongs to the Arab.

The world doesn’t care that Arabs purposely put their own civilians directly into harm’s way. The Arab feels free to scream that Israel kills civilians.

The world listens. It won’t blame those who push, prompt or manipulate those civilians into danger. It blames Israel.

To those who follow the Arab war against Jews, Arab lies are nothing new. What is new, however, is how America--Israel’s ‘greatest friend’--behaves.

It behaves will an extraordinary ill will towards the world’s only Jewish state. It uses the enemy’s propaganda against Israel exactly when Israel is at war against that enemy.

Usually, when someone is attacked, his friends rally around him. They give moral support. They give tangible support. They set aside differences in order to demonstrate to all that friendship in time of distress takes precedence over differences.

That’s how friends behave. They help. They protect. They defend.

America isn’t doing that. Today, while Hamas pummels Israel with rockets, the United States has hit Israel with what one might arguably call its greatest diplomatic assault against Israel.

In a speech last night at the Israel Conference of Peace in Tel Aviv, Philip Gordon, a special assistant to US President Barack Obama and the White House coordinator for the Middle East, lambasted Israel for leading [emphasis mine] regional instability and the dehumanization of the ‘Palestinian’ (“Top Obama official blasts Israel for denying Palestinians sovereignty, security, dignity”’ Times of Israel, July 9, 2014). His words came directly from the Arab play-book.

He berated Israel for not ending the ‘occupation’ (an Arab invention). He described Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas as one who has “shown time and again that he’s committed to non-violence and co-existence and cooperation with Israel” (ibid).

This is completely false. Abbas has shown time and again that he is willing to honour Jew-killers as national heroes and to unite with Hamas to seek the complete destruction of the Jewish state.

He rejects co-existence with Israel. He rejects cooperation with Israel.

At a time when Israel fights an enemy who refuses to protect its own civilians—and encourages them to die as martyrs—this is no time to condemn Israel with its enemy’s propaganda. If anything, this is the time to warn Hamas that it commits war crimes. This is the time to re-affirm that Israel, as a sovereign state, has the right to defend itself. This is the time for a ‘friend’ of Israel to remind Hamas that it has a ‘Responsibility to Protect’ its citizens, not put them in harm’s way.

In his speech, Gordon called the US Israel’s ‘greatest friend’. If this is how the US treats Israel, it is no friend. Friends don’t use venomous poison against a friend.

At the very best, the US is nothing more than a powerful but untrustworthy ally. When it joins with the Arab to demonize Israel, it is no friend.
