The Temple Mount, lies and Muslim leaders

In the Arab-Israel war, lies are a weapon. Perhaps that’s true for any war, not just this one. But then, this war is different. In this war, lies are the key weapon.

The entire ‘Palestinian’ narrative is built upon a lie (Jews started the 1948 war). Their ‘Cause’ is built upon a lie (Jews have no historical claim to land in Israel). Their claim to the Temple Mount is built upon a lie (the Temple Mount is Islamic, not Jewish).

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem covers app 35 acres. It’s the holiest place on earth for Jews. It was taken from the Jews in the year 70CE. It was then liberated by the Jews some 1,900 years later, in 1967.

Muslims lust to control the Temple Mount. They’ll do anything to get it.

Most Jews seem indifferent to the Temple  Mount. They lack the religious commitment of the Muslim. That’s why, in this Holy Land, the Muslim has such power. He believes in his Islamic god. Jews don’t have such passionate faith in their Jewish G-d.

Jews seem to turn away from the Temple Mount. They call those who ignore their holiest site, ‘normal’. They call Jews who express an interest in the Temple Mount, ‘activists’. They call Jews who fight for a Jewish right to pray on the Temple Mount, ‘extremists’.

Jews who go to pray at the Mount are called, ‘law-breakers’. Israeli police arrest them (Joseph DeCaro, “Jews arrested for praying on Temple Mount”, worthynews, October 13, 2013).

Muslims who go to the Temple Mount to pray are called, ‘worshippers’. They flock to the Mount to pray. Israeli police welcome them.

Muslims want this site. They want the Jews’ ‘filthy feet’ off this site. To help achieve these goals, Muslim leaders lie.

They lie about the Jewish Temple (Ilan Ben Zion, “Jerusalem mufti: Temple Mount never housed Jewish Temple”, timesofisrael, October 25, 2015). They lie about any Jewish historical claim to the Temple Mount (Aaron Klein, Ali Waked, “EXCLUSIVE – Islamic Scholar Claims Jews ‘Fabricated’ Ties to Temple Mount”, breitbart, April 25, 2016). They lie about Jews ever having had a place of worship on the Mount (“Abbas-Appointed Mufti: No Jewish Place of Worship Existed on Temple Mount”, thetower, October 26, 2015). They ignore their own religion to lie about both the Jewish Temple and the Temple Mount (“Muslims ignore their own Quran which says Jewish Temple stood atop Temple Mount”, jewnews, October 26, 2016).

They lie about how the Temple Mount was liberated by Jews in 1967 (Dalit Halevy, “Muslim council calls to ban all Jews from Temple Mount”, Arutz Sheva, November 6, 2015). They lie when they say Jews ‘invade’ the Temple Mount (“Settlers invade Al-Aqsa mosque compound, despite Israel claims of status quo”, palestinenewsnetwork, April 14, 2016). They lie when they call Jews wanting to pray at the Temple Mount an Israeli ‘invasion policy’ (“‘Jewish invasions of Al-Aqsa are official policy,’ insists Raed Salah”, middleeastmonitor, April 23, 2016). They lie when they claim that Israel seeks to damage or destroy the Islamic Al Aqsa mosque, which sits on the Jewish Temple Mount (Kenneth Levin, The Al Aqsa libel: a brief history”, frontpagemag, November 25, 2014).

They lie when they claim Jews (‘Israelis’) desecrate the Temple Mount (Khaled Abu Toameh, “Abbas: Israelis have no right to desecrate our holy sites with their filthy feet”, 

jerusalempost, September 16, 2015). They lie when they accuse Israel of ‘Judaizing’ the Temple Mount (“Abbas says Israel trying to ‘Judaize’ Temple Mount”, raptureforum, March 7, 2016).

The facts about the Temple Mount tell a different story. First, it isn’t Jews who try to ‘judaize’ the Temple Mount; it’s Muslims who have been working for years to destroy all archaeological evidence of Jewish history on the Mount, so as to make the Mount ‘Muslim’ (Max Gelber, “Israel Orders the Muslim Waqf to Stop [Islamic] Construction on Temple Mount”, unitedwithisrael, June 1, 2016).

Who desecrates the Temple Mount?  Not Jews. Muslims do that desecration (“Jerusalem: Muslims are desecrating the Temple Mount with filth, garbage, and old toilet seats”, barenakedislam, April 8, 2015).

Finally, there’s that Jewish ‘invasion’ of the Mount.  Take a look at some visitor totals for 2014 (complete numbers for 2015 don’t seem to be available), for the Temple Mount (Eitan Na’eh, “Jews are being killed simply for being Jews”, telegraph, September 13, 2015):

Muslims: 3,500,000

Christians: 200,000

 Jews: 12,500

These numbers mean that, in 2014, less that .4 of one per cent of all visitors to the Temple Mount were Jewish. That’s not an ‘invasion’.  3,500,000 Muslims, however, might be.

The Temple Mount: Muslims lust for it. Jews are indifferent to it.

Muslim leaders will do anything to get control of the Temple Mount. They’ll do anything to rip it out of Jewish hands.

That’s why they lie. They have to lie. The truth won’t help them.
